What is an ArkaWall? +

A cloud-managed network appliance running NixOS. It's your firewall plus optional services — VPN, mail, DNS, web, storage and monitoring — all configured from ArkaPanel and applied to the device automatically.

Do I need an ArkaWall to use hosting? +

No. Hosting — domains, email, websites and backups — works on its own. The ArkaWall is for on-site networking; you can use either or both.

How are changes applied to a device? +

You make changes in the panel; ArkaPanel generates the configuration and pushes it to the device, which applies it atomically. If a change fails, the device rolls back to the previous working state.

Is it multi-tenant? +

Yes. You can manage many clients and sites from one account, with per-user permissions and tenant isolation. Resellers can manage their own customers and set their own prices.

How does pricing work? +

Pay monthly for what you run — appliances, hosting, storage and domains. Prices show in Rand for South African visitors and US Dollars for everyone else, and you can switch currency on the pricing page. There's no setup fee and no lock-in.

Where do backups go? +

To storage you control — typically a storage box. Backups are deduplicated and encrypted, and can be restored to a staging copy or over the live data.

What happens if my connection to the panel drops? +

The device keeps running the last applied configuration. It reconnects and resumes management as soon as it can reach the panel again.

Can I try it first? +

Yes — create an account and add a domain or claim an ArkaWall. You only pay for what you run.
